Is It Possible To Completely Remove Stretch Marks?

Stretch marks are scars and as with all scars it is not possible to completely remove them. But with the right treatment and products a huge improvement can be made.

There are several methods to treat stretch marks. Surgical treatments but also non surgical methods like (micro)dermabrasion, laser treatments, blue light therapy and chemical peels.

Then there are of course the over the counter (non prescriptive) products such as creams and lotions. Also called natural stretch marks removal.

These more invasive treatments (surgery and laser) are more effective than creams and lotions but they are also far more expensive and are not always paid for by health insurance.

And also exercising, maintaining a healthy well balanced diet and drinking enough water will add to the hydration of the skin. This will make sure the skin stays supple, soft and elastic. This way you are less likely to develop striae.

Fading Stretch Marks

When it comes to fading stretch marks and preventing them there are a few things that are important. You can make sure to exercise, eat a healthy and well balanced diet, drink enough water and use an effective stretch marks product.

In the following posts I will write about what I have learned in the past years. I will get into the tips I mentioned above and will review a few of the most common products. I will also tell you all about my own experiences with fading stretch marks.
I am not talking about removing them because once they are there it is almost impossible to completely remove them. But the good news is that it sure is possible to fade them to a much more acceptable appearance.
